Purchase Ledger Clerk

An opportunity has arisen to become a valued member of our clients small, amiable accounts team.

Your role, reporting to the Accounts Supervisor, will be to efficiently process purchase invoices for our group of companies. As a part of our dedicated team, you will work collectively to meet deadlines and ensure strict adherence to company policies.

Your New Role:

  • You will be responsible for coding and posting  supplier invoices to multiple ledgers
  • The preparation of monthly BACS run
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Stock reconciliation
  • Regular filing of all purchase ledger &other accounts documentation
  • Daily sales invoicing
  • Maintain KPI spreadsheets
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and nominal analysis
  • Provide cover for the Credit Controller at peak times

Person Specification      

·       Previous experience of purchase ledger in a similar position

·       Sales ledger experience is desirable

·       You will be IT literate in Microsoft Office with Excel at an intermediate level

·       Previous experience of accountancy packages

·       Excellent communications skills

·       Self-disciplined and efficient and a proactive nature

·       Accuracy and strong attention to detail
